Real Interns Experiences

My internship at Saville, Dodgen & Co. was amazing! I did not expect to get so much hands-on experience and to feel like a staff member. During my audit internship, I worked on reviews and audits dealing with non-for-profit organizations (such as schools, foundations, etc.) and non-public companies. Seeing all of these different situations was very helpful in increasing my real-world accounting knowledge.

Not only were the staff and the partners really friendly, but they actually took the time to teach and explain the reasons why certain things were being done and had no problem with answering the many questions that I had.

Saville, Dodgen & Co. was a great experience and introduction to Public Accounting. I could not have gotten this type of experience anywhere else and am much more confident in my decision to pursue public accounting.

“During my internship with Saville, Dodgen & Co., I really felt like I was an actual staff member. Instead of making copies, I was able to work on all areas of the balance sheet and income statement for multiple clients. This made me feel as if I was really contributing to the audit team.

At the same time, everyone was very friendly which made for a wonderful work environment. I wasn’t afraid to ask questions anytime I needed help.

Interning at Saville really opened my eyes to how public accounting works. I feel better prepared for when I go back to school to graduate and return back into the accounting workforce.”
